Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Float RN for the Wisconsin ICU Resource Team. The role requires adaptability to provide high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need.

You will engage in governance activities, apply nursing processes, monitor patients, and collaborate closely with the care team. Typical qualifications include an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience.
• Holiday and weekend shift requirements.
• Weekend shift: Fri 1900–Mon 0700 per cycle.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives.
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Maintain safety standards and accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrate effective communication and delegation within the team.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
• Float to other units or facilities as needed within the service area.
