Aurora Health, now part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Float Registered Nurse to provide adaptable ICU care across multiple Wisconsin hospitals and units. The role requires 2+ years ICU RN experience, BLS and ACLS, and active RN licensure in the state(s) of practice.

Flexibility to float to different units, strong clinical judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Weekend and holiday requirements apply, with EHR documentation maintained daily.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Active RN license in the state(s) where the RN will practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience.
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekends every 6 weeks (Fri 1900–Mon 0700).
• Holiday requirement: 2 holidays per year.

Responsabilités

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care, engaging patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes and takes action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to clinical protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution to foster team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
• Pursues professional development, completes required education, and maintains certifications.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and practices ethical decision-making; respects interdisciplinary roles.
