Job summary

Aurora Health (now part of Advocate Health) WI Resource Team seeks Float RN to provide adaptable ICU nursing across multiple hospitals and units in Wisconsin. Must have RN license, accredited nursing program completion, BLS and ACLS, and at least two years of ICU experience.

The role requires flexibility to work across units, weekend shifts, and ongoing professional development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2 years ICU RN experience minimum.
• Weekend schedule: 4 weekends per 6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice to improve care.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, involving patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and ensure accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicate effectively and delegate appropriately within the team.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
• Respect ethical practices and interdisciplinary roles in patient care.
