Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Float Registered Nurse for the Wisconsin ICU resource team. You will provide adaptable, high-quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational needs. Flexibility and strong clinical skills are essential.

Requirements include an accredited nursing program, active RN license, BLS (ACLS preferred), and at least 2 years ICU RN experience. Weekend and holiday coverage are required.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license in the state(s) of practice.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS may be required depending on unit.
• Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience.
• Weekend and holiday coverage as specified.

Responsibilities

• Participate in unit governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Maintain a culture of safety and uphold standards of practice.
• Possibly administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Communicate effectively and delegate appropriately within the team.
• Engage in professional development and maintain necessary certifications.
• Ensure accurate EHR documentation and may float to other units as needed.
