The RN must hold Ohio licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, with BSN preferred within five years; the role emphasizes teamwork and evidence-based practice in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio required.
• BLS certification required prior to patient contact.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months for ICU/step-down areas.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates holistic assessment of patient needs across ICU settings.
• Uses SBAR to communicate care plans with the care team.
• Coordinates plan of care with patient and family, initiating discharge planning as appropriate.
• Responds to emergencies with rapid, precise nursing interventions.
• Maintains accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
