Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the ICU Float Pool on the nights shift. This full-time RN role (36 hrs/wk, 0.9 FTE) provides coverage across the organization, with weekend and holiday requirements, and operates in a high-acuity ICU environment.

The nurse coordinates patient care, advocates for patients, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, and adheres to nursing standards and ethics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois RN license.
• Nursing specialty certification, if eligible.
• Experience in specific clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to advance patient plans.
• Participate in handoffs and ensure patient safety.
• Demonstrate professional nursing practice and ethics.
