Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV seeks an ICU Clinical Supervisor for a full-time role (36 hours/week) with full benefits and a day shift. The role blends clinical care with managerial duties, including staff disciplinary actions and staffing decisions, while coordinating with physicians and the Nurse Director.

The position focuses on leadership, rapid response to patient condition changes, and collaboration across departments within a 124-bed acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• CCRN certification preferred (must obtain within 1 year).
• BSN or enrolled in an accredited program within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clinical and managerial duties in ICU supervision.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting.
• Participate in hiring and termination of staff.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager and co-workers about patient changes.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition.
