Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse to join as a per diem, variable shift position. The role provides safe, competent nursing care aligned with hospital policies and the Patient Centered Care model, while offering leadership support to the healthcare team.

You must hold a current Nevada nursing license, have at least two years in critical care, and hold BLS; ACLS is required or can be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada nursing license.
• At least two years of critical care nursing experience.
• Current BLS.
• ACLS (or obtained within six months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
• Consistently completes hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs.
