Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV seeks an ICU Clinical Supervisor to join our full-time team. This role blends clinical and managerial duties, overseeing patient care in the ICU and guiding staff performance on a 36-hour week schedule with full benefits.

The supervisor will coordinate care with physicians, the Nurse Manager, and multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring quality settings and timely responses to changes in condition and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• CCRN certification preferred (must obtain within 1 year).
• BSN or higher degree required or enrolled in an accredited program within one year of employment or transfer to supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting.
• Perform disciplinary actions and participate in hiring/termination of staff.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager, and co-workers about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
