Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative supervision of the department service functions.
• Collaborate with the unit Director/Manager; may assume administrative scope in their absence.
• Develop and implement departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate orientation and training of personnel for the department.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
• Ensure quality of staff and functions during the shift.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate personnel and resource use.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within the scope of practice.
• Continuously assess care and adjust the plan of care as needed.
