Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to lead the Cardiac Neuro unit during FT nights. You will develop departmental plans, oversee orientation and staff training, and collaborate with the unit Director to ensure regulatory compliance and performance improvement initiatives.

You will supervise personnel, manage daily operations, and provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice, ensuring efficient use of time and resources and directing staff

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required on hire and maintained.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience with supervisory/leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• Assists the Director in daily operations, directing, supervising, and evaluating staff.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees orientation and training of personnel; communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
• Assists in direct patient care as needed within scope of practice; ensures efficient department functions.
