Qualifications

• RN license required
• BSN preferred
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• PALS/ENPC required within 30 days of hire
• Trauma/critical care certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, supervisory preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight for department service functions and collaborate with unit Director/Manager
• Develop and implement departmental plans including performance improvement activities and regulatory compliance
• Oversee orientation and training of personnel
• Communicate with staff, physicians and administration in writing and verbally
• Ensure staff quality, supervise and evaluate personnel during shifts
• Direct patient care as needed within scope of practice
• Assess care and direct staff to modify plans as needed
