Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager - ICU for a full-time evening leadership role in Bellingham, WA. The role focuses on developing teams, clinical excellence, and patient care in a high-performing unit.

The position oversees daily ICU operations, staffing, and workforce planning, while partnering with the Nurse Manager to drive quality, safety, and outcomes. BLS, RN license, and 3+ years ICU experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• Recent ICU nursing or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ICU operations, staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining a high-performing nursing team.
• Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and guidance to caregivers.
• Facilitate performance management and professional development.
• Maintain and advance patient care standards, policies, and evidence-based practices.
• Partner in strategic planning to improve quality, safety, and outcomes.
• Promote safety by identifying opportunities for improvement and best practices.
• Monitor resources and assist with budget management and financial stewardship.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient experiences.
• Support the department Clinical Educator and foster open communication.
