Job summary

Ice & Field at The Crossover in Reston, VA invites applications for a Seasonal Skate Host. The role focuses on monitoring skaters, ensuring safe ice conditions, and providing excellent guest service on and off the ice.

You will alert managers to unsafe conditions, assist guests during incidents, maintain ice during weather events, and help with event setup and takedown. Training sessions and staff meetings are required to stay compliant and prepared.

Qualifications

• Must possess advanced skating ability.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to comply with all federal, state, and local COVID mandates/guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor skaters and ensure proper ice safety procedures are followed.
• Alert managers to any unsafe or potentially hazardous ice conditions.
• Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately.
• Assist guests during incidents or falls and contact management when necessary.
• Maintain ice during inclement weather or as needed.
• Practice excellent customer service on and off the ice.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and guests.
• Assist set-up and take down for special events.
• Attend all training sessions and staff meetings.
• Any other duties as assigned.
