Job summary

Ice & Field at The Crossover in Reston, VA is seeking a seasonal Manager on Duty to support overall facility operations in the absence of the GM. The role involves managing programs, events, and facilities while supervising rink staff and adhering to payroll budgets.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years of rink or recreational facility experience, high school graduation, and a readiness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. COVID guidelines compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• 2 years of demonstrated work experience in ice rink or recreational facility or equivalent.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be willing to comply with all federal, state, and local COVID mandates/guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations that include, but are not limited to, programs, events and physical facilities.
• Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately.
• Supervise the rink employees to include assisting in scheduling staff with attention to the payroll budget.
• Possess the knowledge of all the rink positions and the ability to work in that capacity as required.
• Immediate and complete reporting of all liability issues.
• Responsible for all cash handling including reconciling petty cash daily, and daily bank deposits.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Communicate professionally verbally and in writing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
