Job summary

Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Manufacturing in Waterbury seeks a Front-Line Manager to oversee production and warehousing for about 25 employees on shift. You will drive safety, quality, and productivity while leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or high school diploma with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory/lead experience in manufacturing.
• Preferred Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement program.
• Experience with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Loss Tree methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive current and future manufacturing performance in safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery and morale.
• Oversee site activities and address problems to improve performance.
• Facilitate training, coaching, and performance management for shift employees.
• Supervise the manufacture of quality products to meet specifications per GMP, SPC, and manufacturing specs.
• Plan staffing needs to meet production schedules.
• Ensure a safe work environment and close action items.
