Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking an operator to manage production of mix and receipt of bulk materials with strict adherence to quality, safety and hygiene standards. You will oversee equipment like HTST and mixers, complete critical paperwork, and maintain accurate materials inventories.

The role emphasizes teamwork, fast-paced decision making, and adherence to GMP/HACCP/QMS processes, while fostering a strong safety culture across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.

Responsibilities

• Receive dairy, sugar, egg and chocolate coating tankers.
• CIP tanks and tankers as needed; follow SOPs/SSOPs.
• Understand CIP system and troubleshoot problems timely.
• Monitor equipment (HTST, homogenizer, pumps, valves) and ensure specifications.
• Complete paperwork: HTST charts, dates, in/out times, efficiency, mix data.
• Ensure accurate real-time consumptions and inventory of powders.
• Keep mix processing area clean, organized and stocked.
• Report issues with possible solutions to supervisor.
