Qualifications

• Possess CIT certification or able to obtain within 2 years.
• Two-year degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years’ related experience in an ice arena or similar facility.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment including HVAC, refrigeration and ice resurfacers.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work nights and weekends; varied shifts.
• Experience with Google Docs/Sheets/Calendar and ice scheduling software.
• Experience using POS and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Operate ice resurfacer and maintenance equipment (edging, blade changes).
• Lead ice sheet setup, flooding, shaving, painting and monitoring conditions.
• Coordinate arena opening/closing; work nights/weekends during ice operations.
• Supervise games, tournaments and events at the arena.
• Assist in recruiting, training and supervising part-time staff.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and janitorial duties.
• Maintain inventory and records; monitor equipment usage.
• Provide customer service by phone, email and in person.
• Assist Grounds Dept seasonally with cleanup and snow removal.
