Job summary

The City of Farmington Hills is seeking an Ice Arena Facility Programmer to act as on-site manager when the Ice Arena Manager is not present. You will lead part-time building staff and coordinators, supervise operations, and coordinate events with other building staff.

The role supports programming, rentals, and training, ensuring timely setup/teardown and accurate reporting. Availability for some nights and weekends is required, with ASAP start and 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in ice arenas or facilities management preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as manager on duty and supervisory lead when on-site staff are unavailable.
• Schedule facility staff and assist with payroll.
• Assist with programs, rentals, and training of staff.
• Lead part-time building assistants and Ice Arena Coordinators.
• Coordinate event setup and teardown; maintain inventory and reports.
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
