Job summary

FMC Ice Sports in Massachusetts is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily facility operations, supervise all programs and services, and ensure high-quality experiences for patrons across Marlboro, Franklin, and Hopedale arenas.

The role involves routine maintenance, janitorial tasks, and shift coverage, with work occurring evenings, weekends and some holidays as needed to meet patron needs and operate safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' work experience in an ice arena with operations/maintenance responsibilities.
• Self-starter with ability to analyze situations and develop solutions with minimal supervision.
• Effective verbal and written communication across diverse groups.
• Ability to generate "out of the box" ideas for increasing sales and controlling costs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work varying hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Experience with youth programs and safety compliance; valid Driver's License and operation of an ice resurfacer/edger.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations including supervising and supporting all programs and services the facility provides.
• Work alone and with other positions as required by the facility activities schedule.
• Perform routine maintenance and janitorial functions when the facility is open to the public.
• Provide shift coverage and adapt to varying seasonal service needs.
