Qualifications

• Certified Ice Technician (CIT) certification or ability to receive within two years.
• Two-year postsecondary degree or higher or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in an ice arena or similar facility.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment including HVAC, refrigeration and resurfacers.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.
• Experience using Google Docs/Sheets/Calendar and arena ice scheduling software.
• Experience with POS and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ice resurfacer operation and ice maintenance equipment upkeep.
• Lead ice sheet installation, flooding, shaving and monitoring ice conditions.
• Coordinate arena opening/closing and weekend/night ice operations.
• Supervise games and events and assist with staff recruitment and training.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and janitorial duties.
• Maintain equipment records, inventory, and monitor air quality when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by phone, email, and in person.
• Support Grounds Department tasks such as seasonal cleanup and snow removal.
