Job summary

Children is seeking a facilities/operations professional to support the Operations Manager in maintaining an ice arena complex. You will help manage day-to-day operations, coordinate with contractors, and ensure adherence to city/state regulations and budget constraints.

The role focuses on safe, clean, and functional facilities for events and programs. You will assist in ice maintenance, electrical/HVAC systems, and general building upkeep, with a strong emphasis on leadership and proactive

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum five (5) years in operation/management of ice arena facilities, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of day-to-day ice rink business with experience in general building maintenance.
• Experience with electrical circuits, outlets, lighting and lighting ballasts.
• OSHA 10 Hour general industry, Ammonia Safety, Crowd Management certifications or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Experience driving forklifts, scissor, and boom lifts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager and Regional Operations Manager with facility maintenance.
• Ensure operations equipment is properly maintained and functional.
• Maintain the building’s appearance to company standards.
• Assist with ice installation and ice removal.
• Supervise and complete preventative building maintenance, tasks, and projects.
• Identify and assign work orders to staff, follow up, and review completed work.
• Work with Operations Manager to develop and implement goals, objectives, and work standards.
• Work with third party contractors on related maintenance of the building and site.
• Assist Operations Manager to streamline work processes.
• Communicates mechanical repair needs to the Engineering department in a timely manner.
• Ensure facility readiness and smooth operation of events and programs.
