Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Hospital Coder to perform thorough medical record reviews, assign ICD-10 codes for diagnoses and procedures, and support revenue cycle initiatives. The role requires 1 year of hospital coding, CCS or CIC certification, and solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology, with attention to detail and teamwork.

Compensation ranges from $23.73 to $37.14 per hour; base pay varies by qualifications, experience and location.

Formación

• Experience coding medical records and ICD coding.
• Familiar with anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Understanding of coding guidelines and compliance requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Review medical records to assign ICD codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract data elements for hospital statistical requests.
• Manage unbilled coding reports and cash flow.
• Stay updated on ICD guideline changes via training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
