Job summary

NAES is seeking an IC&E Technician to support NYPA Small Clean Power Plants in New York City. You will maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, controls, electrical, IT, and mechanical systems across multiple LM6000 turbine sites and balance-of-plant equipment.

You’ll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, assist with outages and system upgrades, and travel to six project sites. A four-day, twelve-hour shift and safety-first culture are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent technical training may be considered.
• Experience with IC&E maintenance in power generation or similar industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, MCCs.
• Hands-on experience maintaining instrumentation, PLC/DCS/SCADA, valves, VFDs, transmitters.
• LM6000 turbine experience preferred.
• Read and interpret P&IDs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation and controls for LM6000 turbines and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Maintain turbine controls, PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, and plant IT networks.
• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Support CMMS records and spare parts management.
• Travel to six NYC project sites for maintenance and outages support.
• Read diagrams and control logic to diagnose and repair plant systems.
• Assist with outages, projects, and system upgrades across sites.
• Operate and coordinate with contractors and OEMs.
