Job summary

AMD seeks an IC CAD Engineer to support the parasitic extraction flow and Cadence Virtuoso in a modern design environment. You will verify setups for new technology and collaborate with vendors to deploy features, while enabling AI agents to speed design cycles.

You will work with a global CAD team, maintaining tool workflows, building regression tests, and providing user training across sites. A strong background in StarRC/Virtuoso tools and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with StarRC extraction or any equivalent vendor tool.
• Experience with Virtuoso schematic/layout or any equivalent vendor tool.
• Experience with Calibre or any equivalent vendor tool.
• Experience with creating AI agents using Claude Code or any equivalent AI agentic tool.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Tcl, Python, and Cadence SKILL.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain StarRC extraction across all design types, including 3DIC design.
• Set up and maintain Cadence Virtuoso schematic and layout features.
• Improve flow and process for better user experience and faster runtime.
• Work with vendors and designers to evaluate and deploy new features.
• Build regression testbenches to maintain CAD tool and flow quality.
• Provide technical support and training to users across multiple sites.
• Enhance overall user experience through AI agent integration.
