Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso seeks a Protocol Analyst to manage administrative operations for the IACUC and IBC, ensuring compliant animal care and research practices. Under supervision, you will coordinate reviews, maintain records, and implement policies aligned with regulatory standards.

You will provide pre-review of protocols, support training, and assist with meetings and documentation to support research compliance and quality assurance across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in a field related to research or compliance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of animal care regulations and IACUC/IBC processes.
• Experience with compliance documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre-review of incoming IACUC and IBC protocols for preliminary determination of completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and relay all review-related correspondence to investigators.
• Assist with compiling agenda items and researching background information to inform decision-making.
• Record meeting minutes and facilitate their approval.
• Review and compile protocol submissions, tracking turnaround times and generating data for QA.
