Job summary

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is seeking a Research Compliance Specialist II to support faculty as Principal Investigators in regulatory management of research studies and related administrative tasks.

The role covers protocol review, approvals maintenance for IACUC/IBC, and daily lab compliance, with a focus on safety, biosafety, and documentation. Flexible work arrangements are available for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
• Two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of biosafety/lab safety requirements.
• Familiar with research study logs and record-keeping.
• Understanding of IACUC/IBC oversight and biosafety considerations.

Responsibilities

• Protocol review and submissions management, ensuring approvals before study start.
• Maintain research approvals for IACUC and IBC, manage deadlines and amendments.
• Oversee lab operations, SOPs, and inspections with EH&S involvement.
• Support training programs and create compliant documentation.
