Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Senior Regulatory Analyst to oversee the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) compliance program, manage the SAFI program, and support PAM activities. The role provides regulatory guidance and education to the research community, ensuring adherence to federal and institutional requirements.

The position requires strong project management, policy development, and stakeholder communication skills, with a focus on improving program effectiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
• 5 years of related research experience with Bachelor's degree or 3 years with Master's degree.
• Master's Degree preferred; advanced science degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge of federal regulations (DHHS, PHS, FDA, USDA, HIPAA) applicable to human or animal research.
• Review complex research documents and identify regulatory issues and policy concerns.
• Provide guidance to research committee staff and researchers on regulatory reviews.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, and compliance processes; implement corrective actions.
• Prepare reports for IACUC and Institutional Official; track follow-up actions.
