Job summary

Energy Transfer in Louisiana is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment across liquid facilities and pipelines.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, calibrating safety devices, and ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant industry experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience troubleshooting control solutions.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195, NEC and OSHA 1910 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and related equipment.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics including P&ID’s.
• Test, calibrate, and document safety devices per DOT/PSM requirements.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to contractors and junior staff.
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).
