Job summary

Sunoco LP in Roseville, MN is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to provide technical support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and equipment in gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role requires knowledge of PLC/DCS, DOT and OSHA regulations, and hands-on experience with instrument/electrical systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
0–2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
Ability to maintain motor controls, relay logic, RTUs, I&E devices.
Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook and Word.
Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutions (In Touch Wonderware, RSLogix, DeltaV).
Extensive knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 requirements.

Responsibilities

Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and instrument/electrical equipment components.
Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution, motor control gear, and associated software.
Maintain PLCs or DCS systems and process/safety controls.
Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and schematics including P&IDs.
Test, calibrate, and document control devices per DOT/PSM requirements; keep preventive maintenance current.
Participate in call-outs and safety programs.
