Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to provide support for construction, plant facilities and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance on control systems, natural gas compression or pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment in gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

Responsibilities include installing, diagnosing, and maintaining PLCs/DCS, reading manuals and drawings, testing safety devices per DOT

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with control systems and instrumentation is preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT/OSHA safety standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment components.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and associated software.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems and process or safety controls.
• Read and interpret manuals, policy, engineering standards, drawings, and schematics.
• Test, calibrate, and document plant and compressor station control and safety devices per DOT 192/193/195 or PSM 1910 requirements.
• Participate in call outs and on-call requirements.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employees and ensure accurate reporting.
• Comply with safety policies and energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).
