Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on SCADA, PLC/DCS, and related equipment across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

Role requires reading schematics and engineering standards, and performing safety-critical testing per DOT regulations while maintaining documentation and reports. On-call and safety participation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience with industrial instrument and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with DOT 192/193/195 testing and documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word).
• Ability to read manuals, engineering standards, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, plant, pipeline, and compressor equipment.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and motor control gear.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC/DCS systems and process controls.
• Read diagrams and P&IDs; follow engineering standards.
• Test and document safety devices per DOT and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and safety programs.
