Williams Companies, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician II-III at the North Desoto Facility in Frierson, LA.

This full-time role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, troubleshooting sophisticated problems, and mentoring teammates. You will perform complex maintenance on gas processing equipment, analyze root causes to reduce unplanned shutdowns, and work with project managers on instrumentation specs for new projects, including PLC

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2+ years as an Operations Technician or similar role; 1 year as an I&E Technician.
• Preferred: Associate degree or 2-year technical degree with 2+ years in oil and gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex maintenance and operations tasks on gas process equipment and systems.
• Delivers root cause analyses to minimize unplanned shutdowns and improve safety.
• Fixes and maintains instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systems.
• Performs programming modifications, diagnostics, and optimizations for Allen-Bradley PLCs and automation systems.
• Provides lead guidance on instrumentation and electrical projects including upgrades, testing, and commissioning.
• Supports reliability improvement efforts and mentors less experienced technicians.
