Job summary

Williams is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Operations Technician II-III to join a safety-focused team managing gas process equipment and control systems. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and improve reliability across instrumentation and PLCs, working with skilled technicians to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in an operations tech role, or an associate degree with relevant oil and gas experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years as an Operations Technician or similar role.
• Associates or 2-year technical degree with 2+ years in oil and gas operations.
• 3+ years of I&E experience including instrumentation troubleshooting and calibration.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems: programming, troubleshooting, diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex maintenance on natural gas process equipment and systems.
• Minimizes unplanned shutdowns via root cause analyses and corrective actions for safety.
• Troubleshoots, calibrates, maintains, and repairs instrumentation and control systems.
• Programs, diagnoses, and optimizes Allen-Bradley PLCs and automated controls.
• Leads instrumentation/electrical projects including upgrades, installations, testing, and commissioning.
