Job summary

Williams is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician II-Sr. to join a safety-focused team. You will maximize equipment reliability, mentor peers, and implement solutions for complex control, instrumentation, and electrical issues across facilities.

Responsibilities include leading system upgrades, defining instrumentation scopes for projects, and driving continuous safety and efficiency improvements in a gas-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in operations/energy industry.
• Preferred: Associate degree and 5+ years in operations/engineering.
• Experience with instrumentation troubleshooting, calibration, and electrical work in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex maintenance and operational tasks on gas process equipment.
• Minimizes unplanned shutdowns via root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Collaborates with supervisors to share findings and improve safety.
• Maintenance of process control systems and instrumentation.
• Define scope and instrumentation specs for new projects.
• Act as SME for instrumentation, electrical, PLC, and control systems.
• Lead system upgrades, integrations, and commissioning with adherence to standards.
• Mentor technicians and drive continuous improvement in instrumentation and automation.
