Job summary

Victorian Senior Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver to work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in homes or community settings. You’ll implement daily living plans, help with socialization, employment, and recreational activities, and document progress in notes daily in ink.

Transportation and independent living support are part of the role. Applicants must meet age, education, and driving requirements and maintain required trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
• Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Health Care Abuse Registry.
• Must meet SBI and DMV requirements of LME/MCO contracts.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have 3 Full years of driving experience.
• Must have access to a device with internet connection at the time services are rendered.

Responsibilities

• Implement individual habitation plan involving daily living skills, socialization, employment, leisure and/or recreational activities.
• Document the service provided in progress notes with observations and progress.
• Provide transportation for the person supported to community services/activities when required.
• Assist with money management and decision-making to maximize independence.
• Assist with prescribed exercises and incidental household services as needed.
• Report changes in condition or needs to the appropriate personnel and maintain required records.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings; maintain up-to-date training.
