Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a construction inspector to support moderately complex, large-scale projects including electrical components, instrumentation and controls, and medium to low voltage wiring. The role may involve project controls administration and may provide direction to other inspection staff.

The candidate should have 3+ years as a superintendent with a degree or 5+ years without, with preferred 5+ years of I&C testing or inspection experience and relevant

• 3+ years as Superintendent with degree, or 5+ years without.
• Experience in I&C testing or inspection preferred.
• Electrical or I&C testing certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates daily and upcoming construction activities and may direct field staff.
• Provides drawing and specification interpretations with little direction.
• Reviews contractor's schedule with direction.
• Interprets contract documents for QA/QC with limited direction.
• Evaluates change requests, claims, and cost proposals and coordinates responses with the project manager.
• Documents field observations and monitors site conditions.
