You’ll check instrumentation and controls installations, verify inspection records and work with contractors to resolve defects ahead of commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect field instruments, mounting arrangements and impulse tubing.
• Check calibration records and instrument certification.
• Inspect control cabinets and internal wiring against approved documentation.
• Verify instrument cable routing, segregation and terminations.
• Check installations meet applicable hazardous area requirements.
• Record inspection findings, raise nonconformances and verify corrective work.

Requirements

• At least seven years of instrumentation inspection experience within power or process plants.
• Working knowledge of ISA standards and hazardous area classifications.
• Practical experience reviewing calibration records and loop documentation.
• Ability to maintain accurate quality records and communicate findings clearly.
• A relevant technical qualification or equivalent field experience.

Previous owner‑side inspection experience, OSHA 30 and familiarity with digital construction documentation tools would be advantageous.
