Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Inspector to join our Taylor, TX project team. This role performs quality inspections of PLC panels, control cabinets, and field devices on semiconductor facility construction sites, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and NEC standards.

A strong electrical background and Journeyman Electrician license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in instrumentation, controls, or electrical systems.
• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and NEC standards.
• Ability to read P&IDs and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect PLC panels, control cabinets, and field devices.
• Verify installations against drawings and specifications.
• Perform loop checks and I/O verification.
• Identify and track deficiencies to resolution
• Support testing and commissioning activities
• Maintain inspection reports and documentation
• Coordinate with contractors and engineering teams
