Stratolaunch, LLC in Mojave, CA is seeking a level II or Senior Structural/Mechanical Engineer to develop the Talon-A hypersonic vehicle. You will conceptualize components, size and analyze, create CAD parts, generate margin reports, and support manufacturing.

You will mentor the Talon-A structures team and drive design to meet mission requirements. The role requires expertise in aerospace structural design, 3D CAD, composites, GD&T, and strong communication.

Qualificações

• Ability to analyze designs using hand calculations and FEM.
• 3D CAD modeling experience for parts and assemblies.
• Experience with composite part fabrication and manufacturing methods.
• Experience with composite tooling methods.
• Experience with aerospace fasteners and specs.
• Experience with drafting and GD&T.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges clearly to varied audiences.
• Independence and prioritization to meet business goals.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in aerospace structural design efforts.
• Perform detailed design of structural components and issue engineering work orders.
• Size and analyze components to meet structural requirements and write margin reports.
• Design secondary structures for mounting components and ensure fit.
• Select materials and construction techniques to meet objectives.
• Create 3D CAD model parts and assemblies.
• Collaborate with technicians and the shop to fabricate and assemble designs.
• Address technical challenges for Talon-A and carrier integration.
• Support Talon-A Structures Lead with guidance and mentorship.
• Maintain regular communication with project leads.
• Contribute to integration of complex aerospace systems.
