Job summary

Stratolaunch, LLC is seeking a Sr. or Staff level Structural/Mechanical Engineer in Mojave, CA to lead ongoing development of the Talon-A hypersonic flight vehicle systems.

You will manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to design, build, test, and integrate structural improvements that meet customer needs and enable first flights. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5–20 years of engineering experience depending on level.
• Experience as a structural or mechanical design engineer on a structures team; prototype or flight vehicle experience.
• Experience with composite structures analysis, design, and manufacturing.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead IPT of mechanical/structural engineers and manage structural development for vehicle and payload designs.
• Make technical decisions for structures subsystem and lead design reviews.
• Develop and disposition structural requirements and mass properties, and ensure standards.
