Job summary

Stratolaunch, LLC is seeking a Sr- or Staff-level Test Engineer to lead Talon-A air-launched hypersonic vehicle testing in Mojave, CA. The role focuses on vehicle integration, test planning, data analysis, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to meet aggressive program goals.

The ideal candidate has experience in vehicle integration testing, avionics, instrumentation, and test execution, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain security clearance.

Qualifications

• This role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–20 years of related experience depending on level.
• Experience in small, dynamic engineering teams with multiple responsibilities.
• Familiarity with avionics, instrumentation, software, and fluid systems is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement vehicle integration and test activities with the systems engineering and program leadership.
• Maintain an up-to-date test objective database with a cross-functional team.
• Ensure testing meets vehicle requirements and participate in TRRs and post-test data reviews.
• Optimize data review methodology and data analysis tools; understand subsystems interdependencies.
• Set standards for test planning and documentation and ensure adherence.
