Job summary

Stratolaunch, Mojave, CA, is seeking a Sr- or Staff-level Structural Analyst to support design, analysis, integration, testing, and maintenance of hypersonic vehicle structures. You will develop FEM models, apply loads, and translate results into design modifications that meet program requirements.

The role requires strong experience with FEMAP/NX NASTRAN, hand calculations, and Python/C++/Matlab programming.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in structural analysis, including load paths and hand calculations.
• Experience designing and analyzing either composite or metallic structures.
• Experience with FEM generation and post-processing.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Participate in portions of the structural development of hypersonic vehicles and launch systems.
• Generate and maintain FEM models, including meshing and property assignment.
• Apply loads and environments to FEM and perform modal/linear FE analyses.
• Perform structural trade studies to develop load paths and assess margins.
• Interpret results and modify designs to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with designers to implement analysis-driven design changes.
