Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking a Sr- or Staff-level Structural Analyst to support design, analysis, integration, testing, and maintenance of hypersonic vehicle and launch system structure. You will develop FEM models, apply loads, and perform FEA to ensure structural margins meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamental structures background with emphasis on load paths and hand-sizing structural components.
• Perform structural hand calculations.
• Experience designing and analyzing either composite or metallic structures.
• Experience with FEM generation and FEA post-processing.

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain FEM models including meshing, material properties, and grouping.
• Apply loads and environments to FEM and perform modal/linear FEA.
• Conduct structural trade studies to develop airframe load paths.
• Interpret results and modify designs to meet requirements.
• Create analysis reports validating structural margins.
• Assist with disposition of manufacturing nonconformances.
• Develop risk mitigation plans for primary structures.
• Communicate progress to Structures Lead and Section Manager.
