Job summary

Baseten is seeking a senior leader to own relationships across hyperscalers and strategic neoclouds, including NVIDIA cloud partners. You will evaluate capacity from GPU to data center, negotiate terms with suppliers, and stay close to market pricing and trends to defend a clear point of view.

This is a technical and commercial role, with mentoring responsibilities for 1-2 junior teammates, aiming to move quickly when capacity needs arise and to shape Baseten's sourcing strategy in a

Qualifications

• A relationship-builder with a strategic mindset.
• Fluency with GPUs, racks, and data center infrastructure.
• Market instinct with pricing awareness and insights.
• Commercial judgment on unit economics and contract structure.
• Experience building multi-level relationships within large, complex organizations.
• Strong judgment on elevating relationships to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain deep relationships across hyperscalers and neoclouds (including NVIDIA cloud partners).
• Maintain a consistent, top-of-mind presence with key accounts so Baseten can move quickly when capacity needs arise.
• Evaluate capacity from the GPU to the data center—hardware generation, rack and node configuration, interconnect, power density, and cooling.
• Live in compute pricing daily: track rates by GPU generation, region, and contract term to stay informed and competitive.
• Partner with the Deals function to negotiate terms—capacity commitments, deposits and payment timing, SLAs, and remedies—and bring agreements to close.
• Build and defend a view on where the hyperscaler and neocloud market is heading and translate it into concrete decisions.
• Help mentor and pair with 1-2 junior to mid-level teammates building coverage in this space.
