Job summary

Spencer Ogden seeks an MEP Project Executive to lead hyperscale data center construction, guiding design, procurement and commissioning of complex MEP systems to meet schedule and budget goals while maximizing customer satisfaction.

This role oversees project teams of engineers and managers, develops long-lead procurement strategies, negotiates contracts, and maintains strong client relationships, with travel as required and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of proven construction experience on hyperscale data center projects.
• Expertise in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems including high-voltage substations, UPS, and advanced cooling.
• Proven track record managing PM teams on large-scale, technically complex projects.
• Ability to hire and develop talent across construction operations.
• Willingness to travel for projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on data center construction, guiding constructability, system selection, and VE for critical MEP infrastructure.
• Oversee design development, budgeting, and scheduling for hyperscale data center projects.
• Lead procurement and subcontracting strategies for long-lead MEP equipment and vendors.
• Ensure team performance with feedback, delegation, and recognition.
• Build long-term client relationships and deliver effective sales presentations.
• Negotiate contracts and supervise Project Engineers, PMs, and Coordinators.
• Mitigate risks related to speed-to-market, supply chains, and commissioning processes.
• Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely project closeout, including Level 4/5 commissioning.
