Job summary

LINX is seeking a Low Voltage Lead Technician to run crews of 5 or more technicians on hyperscale data center cabling projects. You will terminate cable, run Fluke tests, and guide daily goals while reporting to the Project Foreman and Superintendent.

This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear path to Foreman and Superintendent. You will oversee planning, safety, documentation, and quality across copper, coax, and fiber installations, including building IT closets and configuring network

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on low voltage or structured cabling experience with crew leadership.
• Proficient blueprint reading and end-to-end project planning ability.
• Ability to terminate jacks, patch panels, and 66/110 blocks per standards.
• Hands-on testing with Fluke DSX testers to verify connections.
• Experience installing and configuring switches, routers, modems, and APs.
• Comfort building telecom/IT closets and running cat5e/cat6/cable and fiber.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily work of 5+ technicians on hyperscale data center projects.
• Plan manpower needs and manage material and labor flow to finish on schedule.
• Set daily crew objectives and report status to project leadership.
• Enforce HR, safety, and company policies on site.
• Terminate and certify copper/fiber runs to required color codes and standards.
• Test with Fluke testers and verify fiber links with OTDR where applicable.
• Install and configure switches, routers, modems, and wireless APs.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and project documentation.
