Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Cloud Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. The role focuses on leveraging diverse software tools to identify cloud automation solutions for complex operational challenges across our global data centers and NeoCloud partnerships.

You will analyze data to prioritize server repair automation, drive solutions through code, and collaborate with globally distributed teams to improve uptime, efficiency, and fleet health in a hyperscale

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in production systems engineering.
• Experience with hardware lifecycle management across compute, storage, or networking infrastructure.
• Experience developing automation tooling in Python, Bash, PHP, C or C++ for Linux-based production environments.
• Experience with configuration and maintenance of production systems including web servers, load balancers, databases, storage, and messaging systems.
• Excellent written communication and ability to align stakeholders across engineering and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and root cause systemic issues to maximize uptime and utilization.
• Write, review, and maintain code for diagnostic and cloud automation tooling.
• Own and develop diagnostic tooling to enable frontline operations.
• Drive escalation for fleet health issues and complex tooling or hardware problems.
• Validate new cloud product integrations into production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional cloud tooling teams on roadmaps.
• Perform data analysis to prioritize cloud automation opportunities for server repair workflows.
• Mentor engineers on evaluating and resolving cloud fleet issues and tool improvements.
• Travel up to 25% to support global data center operations.
