Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Cloud Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. The role focuses on leveraging data analysis to identify cloud automation opportunities, building tooling, and collaborating with globally distributed teams to drive improvements across AWS, GCP, CoreWeave, and NeoCloud partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• 7+ years of production systems engineering, infrastructure, or system software development for large-scale cloud environments.
• 7+ years of hardware lifecycle management, fleet automation, or cloud data center operations systems.
• Experience developing systems software or automation tooling in Python, Bash, PHP, C, or C++ for Linux-based production environments at scale.
• Experience with production systems maintenance including web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, and messaging systems.
• Ability to communicate technical designs and cloud infra decisions through documentation and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and root cause systemic issues across the cloud server fleet to maximize uptime and utilization.
• Write, review, and maintain code for diagnostic and cloud automation tooling for production servers at hyperscale.
• Own and develop diagnostic tooling to enable frontline operations to manage and repair the cloud fleet.
• Drive escalation to identify, root cause, and resolve complex tooling and hardware issues.
• Validate new cloud product integrations into production through operational testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional cloud tooling teams to contribute to roadmaps.
• Perform data analysis to prioritize automation opportunities for server repair workflows.
• Build cross-functional relationships to improve global data center operations consistency.
• Mentor engineers on resolving fleet issues and improving tools and processes.
• Travel up to 25% for global data center operations and site deployments.
