Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Cloud Production Systems Engineer to advance our hyperscale data center initiatives. You will lead automation and tooling to diagnose, repair, and maintain a vast cloud server fleet.

The role requires deep data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive tooling roadmaps. Occasional international travel and a strong focus on reliability are key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in production systems engineering or large-scale cloud environments.
• 7+ years of experience with hardware lifecycle management, fleet automation, or cloud data center ops.
• Experience developing systems software or automation tooling in Python, Bash, PHP, C, or C++ for Linux-based production environments at scale.
• Experience with production systems config and maintenance including web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, and messaging systems.
• Experience communicating technical designs and cloud infra decisions through documentation and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and root cause systemic issues across the cloud server fleet to maximize uptime and utilization.
• Write, review, and maintain code for diagnostic and cloud automation tooling for production servers at hyperscale.
• Own and develop diagnostic tooling requirements for frontline operations teams to manage and repair cloud server fleet.
• Drive escalation for Data Center Operations to resolve complex tooling and hardware issues affecting fleet health.
• Validate and verify new cloud product integrations into the production environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional cloud tooling teams on roadmaps and operational improvements.
• Perform deep data analysis to prioritize cloud automation opportunities for server repair workflows.
• Mentor engineers on evaluating cloud fleet issues and tool/operational process improvements.
